At the Gallipoli Scholarship Fund, we understand the importance of providing scholarships that support the educational aspirations of students from all backgrounds. One of our proudest partnerships is with the Calleo Indigenous Community Fund (CICF), whose commitment to supporting Indigenous students with Veteran heritage aligns perfectly with our mission. Through the Calleo Indigenous Bursary, we are helping foster the next generation of Indigenous leaders in various disciplines, ensuring that the legacy of service and sacrifice lives on through education.
The Calleo Indigenous Community Fund (CICF) is proud to support the Gallipoli Scholarship Fund. With partnership starting in 2019 based on funding to support three first year scholars, we’ve since been able to grow our commitment and currently provide nine scholarships across first, second and third year students.
A unique aspect of the Calleo Indigenous Bursary is that it is specifically intended to support an Indigenous student with Veteran heritage. This perfectly demonstrates the natural alignment between the CICF and GSF. The Calleo Group remains committed to giving back to the community we serve. And as a specialist resourcing firm, we not only dedicated to helping people in their careers, but more than that, we understand the importance of supporting the pipeline of up-and-coming talent.
With recipients across multiple disciplines including medicine, law, criminology, sports science, international studies, veterinary technology, contemporary music and more, one of the aspects we find most rewarding is the regular updates and interactions with scholars. Not only have they joined our team for a meet-and-greet in the office, but we’ve also had the great pleasure of attending key GSF events.
As we’ve donated over a million dollars via the CICF, across a range of partners, we place high importance on program governance and appreciate that the GSF are transparent in communicating the direct impact the funding makes in the scholar’s lives.
This level of interaction and partnership is one of the many reasons we enjoy partnering with the GSF and would gladly recommend them to any other business that are considering ways to contribute to meaningful initiatives.
