The Gallipoli Scholarship Fund (GSF) is proud to announce the appointment of Adriana Johnson as its first Business Development Officer. With a distinguished background in business relations and a personal commitment to honoring veterans, Adriana is uniquely positioned to drive the Fund’s mission forward.

Adriana brings to the GSF a wealth of experience from her previous roles in the non-profit sector. Her expertise in strategic planning, fundraising, and nurturing business relationships will be instrumental in expanding the Fund’s reach and impact. Adriana’s role will focus on strengthening ties with current and prospective members, GSF Alumni, supporters, and donors, with the goal of increasing the number and size of scholarships and bursaries offered.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Adriana’s personal connection to the military community deepens her commitment to the GSF’s mission. As the daughter of a veteran and the wife of a currently serving serviceman, she is passionately dedicated to providing educational opportunities for the direct descendants of veterans. This dedication aligns perfectly with the GSF’s vision and enhances the authenticity and impact of her role.

Adriana holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from San Diego State University and a Master of Arts in International Relations from Webster University of Geneva. These academic achievements, combined with her current work in the health sector, round out her extensive skill set and dedication to making a positive difference in the community.

Originally from San Francisco, USA, Adriana has made Sydney her home and is enjoying exploring Australia. Her international perspective and diverse experiences will undoubtedly enrich the GSF’s efforts to support young people in their tertiary education goals.

The GSF Chair, Major General Michael Smith AO (Ret’d) said that Adriana’s appointment marked an exciting development for the Fund, striving to provide scholarships to more deserving descendants of our veterans. ‘We currently receive far more worthy applications than we are able to fund’ he said. ‘This appointment has only been possible due to the generous donation from a foundation that is committed to providing more opportunities for veterans and building the capacity of GSF to achieve this. We are deeply appreciative of this opportunity,’ he added. The Gallipoli Scholarship Fund is excited to welcome Adriana Johnson to the team.
