You must be an Australian Citizen under 25 years of age.
You must be a direct descendant of an Australian or New Zealand Veteran who has served in any conflict or peacekeeping operation from the First World War to the present day.
You must be entering your first year of University or TAFE study which will result in a Degree, Diploma or Advanced Diploma.
You must be able to prove necessitous circumstances, such as financial, physical, familial, emotional, medical or environmental hardship.
You must reside in Australia and attend an Australian tertiary institution.
What you must provide
A passport style photo of yourself (Head and shoulders)
Your Birth Certificate and if born overseas, a copy of your Citizenship certificate.
A statement detailing your necessitous circumstances or documentary proof of your entitlement to a Government benefit or medical evidence.
Documentary evidence of your ancestor's service such as enlistment or discharge documents, a Certificate of Service, or proof of issue of medals or awards to the veteran. For more recent members a copy of the relevant section of their PMKEYS is appropriate.
A reference from your School.
HSC or similar certificate and a notice of your ATAR or TER as applicable.
Copy of your University offer and acceptance or TAFE enrolment.
